Woohoo! I love the old Halloween movies - the sequels are a little weird at times (the third one especially, since it doesn't have Michael in it at all LOL), but the original one rocked. I love Michael Myers :D But yeah, I wasn't all that happy with the remakes either. The kid was creepy, but it just didn't have the old Halloween "vibe".

Never heard of Mouth of Madness, so I'll look that up... I have seen the Shining and 1408 was... gah. Loved that one. I think I need to rewatch that at some point cause I was reeeally scared when I first saw it.

And I've never really been scared while reading a book before, but I'm definitely gonna try that out! :D
