I usually buy the e-version and if I really liked it, think I might read it again and it has a pretty cover, I'll buy the physical copy (preferably hardcover) as well. Or, well... I haven't actually done that yet but there are several books/series that I'm planning on buying at some point in the future.

What I like about Kindles though is that you don't have to wait days for the book to be delivered and you can start reading right away, and with AO3's handy download function, you can read fics on it as well.

As for the actual reading experience... each option has its advantages.

Sooo clearly I haven't been on LJ for a while (again) and am way behind on my flist (again), but I just scrolled down to like, May 1st or something, so I have read a few entries. Not really replied to any of them though because there was either nothing to say or it was a really personal entry and I felt weird replying to it days/weeks later. So... consider this an "I've read your post and I ♥ you even though I'm a shitty LJ friend and never around" post. :))

I don't even really have an excuse for my absence; it's not that real life is so busy that I can't get to a computer anymore - I'm still online day and night, pretty much, but I happen to hang out on different... sites. And I've been doing stuff. Creative stuff, organisational stuff - also, lots of reading.

But anyway. The new LJ layout! I... don't hate it. I don't love it either but, you know, whatever. I do think they could give us some more customisation options because it's all a bit too big for me. But I guess that's why browsers have "zoom in" and "zoom out" options! I have it all on 75% right now and that works fine, for now.

Real life wise... there's nothing to talk about, really.

Like I said, I've been reading a lot and I'm sooo obsessed with the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus books. Why did no one tell me they're so great??? And so many slash/femmeslash possibilities; I'm in heaven :))) I'm on Mark of Athena right now, and I'm dreading the day when I finish House of Hades because I really don't want to wait till October for the last one.

I've been drawing a lot, using tutorials and stuff... And I now have an art Tumblr! I already created one a little while ago but then deleted and recreated it because Tumblr flagged the old one nsfw by default - which, don't get me wrong - it should be, but... then nothing shows up in the tags. And when nothing shows up in the tags, people aren't going to find me, and... yeah. That was bugging me, so I made a new one - which is completely safe for work now. I will, however, make another nsfw one, but I haven't had a good idea for an URL yet, so... some other time.

It seems like I've been absent again for a while... oops? I'm just gonna blame this one on post-concert depression~ It was baaad this time.

So. What's new? Nothing, really. Same old. After my lovely week and a half off, I've been back at work for nearly a month now and it's really just the same as always. Nothing ever happens - which, I guess, I could be grateful for. I don't have a lot of stress, just do my work (well, unless co-worker is gone for a day or four, like this week :)) and hope for the day to end fast~

I've been pretty lazy writing-wise and haven't really written anything (on my own, at least) since I finished colour my senses cherry red. Gotta get on that cause I did sign up for bigtimebang. And I have an idea... of sorts. I just don't know if it's a 20K idea. Summaries are posted in two weeks, so I really need to decide now, ugh. Candi and I have written another fic together for the big bang, though, and it's really long and cute and we're very proud of it :) And now we're working on turning more of our RPs into fics, one of them 500K long, so... that should be interesting and keep us busy for a while~

Instead of writing, I've mostly been making gifs and drawing. There are a few new BTR drawings over at thiliart, so go check them out if you want to. I haven't drawn much One Direction lately because... well, Idk. My love for BTR has returned, so consequently, my interest in 1D has... suffered a little. I still love them but BTR is again my primary focus now, fandom-wise.

deatheaterfest is currently posting, and you should go have a look at what's been posted so far! I've received a pretty limited number of submissions and have had a few drop-outs, but I think the fics that I did get, are pretty good, so... go have a look and leave the authors a comment? :)

I've also been reading a ton. I'm currently on my 23rd book for this year. Which... I don't think I've ever read this many books in six months. My latest book-obsession are the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead. I'm OBSESSED. They're so good, and they're filming the first movie right now, and I'm really really excited. Has anyone else read them? :)

I've been doing some LJ maintenance instead of actually working today, and fixed my tags up till January 2011. Now I have '10, '09, '08 and '07 to get through, and I will never EVER touch my tags again. Seriously - if I ever mention deleting all my tags again? Someone slap me. Thank you.

And I'm slowly but surely getting up2date with all the tv shows I watch. It's a slow process because Jil and I procrastinated for weeks, so we're very behind on, well, everything. But now we're slowly catching up.

Right... that's it, I think. One more hour and about twenty minutes till I can go home (I'm at work right now, oops).

Buhuhu. So, 33 000 posts less than yesterday. *shrugs* Not really a big difference.

Anyway, today I finished reading rabiddangirl's wonderful AS/S fic Something Worth Waiting For- well, as it's a WIP I obviously didn't finish it but only the posted chapters. Anyway, the point is, I was a little inspired and drew Scorpius after his makeover, then made a wallpaper featuring Kevin Zegers as Al and Jesse McCartney as Scorp.

Well, I'm not gay nor bi (though if I'd ever fall in love with another woman, it wouldn't be a problem for me) but I absolutely think that everyone should be allowed to be with the person they love no matter if it's a woman or a man.

Why is it that when I'm at home, there aer only very few LJ updates on my friends page and when I'm at school and have no time to really look at all that stuff, there's tons of it? Or maybe I just think there aren't as many because usually I check that page about 10 times a day... lol. No but seriously... on a normal day I have about 3 pages of new posts but today it's already 5 or 6 Oo. I think I may have to leave a few non-Harry Potter related communities. Some of them just have too many updates.

Anyway. I finished Kiss A Boy In London Town yesterday... SO good! I miss London :( My friends and I are planning a "road-trip" through England and Scotland this summer. I so hope it works out because that would be awesome. I really miss the island and it's only been a few months since I've last been there.

Okay, have to stop now, there are many updated fics I need to save, so that I can read the new chapters tonight XD God, it sucks that I still don't have internet at my flat. I HAVE to take care of that!

I'm exhausted. Didn't get much sleep last night (went to bed rather late since I was busy reading fanfics) and had to get up early too to take my car to the garage and... yeah. And now I spend another few hours reading another fic which is so great but so extremely long too (I'm halfway through and there's not even a hint of slash in it yet-- which doesn't mean it's not good!) and... once again, I can't seem to stop. In case you're interested in which one it is... it's called Draco's Boy , it's AU and it is so gooood!

Went to see Enchanted today! It was sooo good. Eversince I discovered that trailer I was so eager to see it and it hasn't disappointed me in the slightest. It was funny and incredibly romantic (made me "awww" all the time) and... just Disney. And I love Disney. And Patrick Dempsey. And James Marsden. And the soundtrack, had to download it immediately. Anyway, it was just a refreshingly great film.

I really need to sleep now, it's past 5 am again *head desk*
